Our North Star Train-the-Trainer program is designed to empower plumbers, reps and contractors with the knowledge and skills to deliver professional training on both residential and commercial water treatment solutions. This comprehensive course equips participants with the tools and techniques needed to effectively teach others how to size, install and troubleshoot North Star water systems.
The program begins with Mastering the Content, where you’ll dive deep into both the Residential and Commercial training curricula, ensuring you have a thorough understanding of water treatment fundamentals, North Star product lines and industry trends. From water softeners and drinking water systems to large-scale commercial installations, you’ll gain expert-level knowledge on every product and process covered in the standard training sessions.
Next, we focus on Teaching Techniques. You’ll learn how to break down complex technical information into digestible lessons, adapt your teaching style to different audiences and use interactive methods to keep your trainees engaged. We’ll also cover Presentation Skills, where you’ll practice delivering effective and confident presentations, ensuring you can communicate clearly and authoritatively when leading your own classes.
The Facilitating Hands-On Learning module will teach you how to guide your trainees through practical exercises, including valve assembly, system programming, installation techniques and troubleshooting. You’ll learn how to create a dynamic, hands-on learning environment where participants can apply what they’ve learned.
Finally, we’ll guide you through Evaluation & Feedback methods to help you assess trainee progress, provide constructive feedback and ensure they leave with the necessary skills to succeed. You’ll also complete a Final Project, where you’ll deliver a mock training session, receiving personalized feedback to refine your teaching approach.
